We judge a team by its results.

When we see the way in which the MSM-MMM Government spared the population the full effect of world shocks, we learn things.

• There was 11^th of September, when America stopped, planes stopped, yet the Government worked and got the reward of seeing tourists return. Our suffering was short-lived…. And so people forgot the difficult times because Government did its job.
• There was the Gulf War, when our petrol supplies from Kuwait literally disappeared overnight. Government overcame the crisis by hard work and plenty of negotiations. The population was spared rationing and major price increases even when the barrel of petrol rose from 25 dollars to 60 dollars.
• There was war in Afghanistan. Once more Government protected the people and they remained serene. There were no shortages, only some difficulties.
• We all saw scenes of Mad Cow Disease when MILLIONS of cattle died, yet we still had meat and milk in Mauritius for the people because Government had Leadership.
• Bird Flu came and BILLIONS of poultry died, yet we still had eggs and meat because of the foresight of the MSM-MMM Government.

A proper caring Government concentrates on finding solutions to problems of the Country, NOT ON PETTY VOTE MONGERING AND SOCIO CULTURAL BICKERING!

The MSM-MMM Government coped with all this and still created and found time for growth and development all over the country! The current Main Pillars of the economy were born from the MSM-MMM vision of things to come… High Class Tourism and Spas, Sea Food Hub, Integrated Resort Schemes (IRS), Cyber Island, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Financial Hub and so on.

The full results are still to be seen but the present Alliance Sociale Government is feasting on the outcomes. You still need to know that the continuation of the projects by the Alliance Sociale is quite different from the original MSM plans, so the outcomes are less interesting.

When we see the collaboration and the vision, the results are remarkable, but the population never understood the true value until they chose wrongly. There is only one way to describe what happened between 2000 to 2005.

That is what we all call a WINNING TEAM!
